Mary Kathleen (Kay) Duncan was born in 1915 in Atlanta, Georgia. She briefly attended Georgia State College from 1933-1934. In 1941 she married Lieutenant Robert Crouch, a civil engineer and career Army officer, and in 1945, had a daughter, Moira Kathleen. From 1949, Crouch accompanied her husband in his various Army postings throughout the world, spending time in the Pacific Northwest, Japan, and France. When her husband was transferred back to Atlanta, Crouch enrolled at Georgia State College ...
